Fat reduction with cold
Fat reduction, developed by renowned researchers at Harvard University, uses controlled exposure to cold to target fat cells. The qmd® system enables safe and precise application by cooling fat tissue to a controlled temperature. The sensitive fat cells are selectively crystallised and then naturally removed by the body.
How does this method work at qmd®?
The user performs a long-lasting cold treatment with the ergonomic handpiece to cool the skin and underlying tissue. The fat tissue is
cooled down to a temperature of + 1 to +4 °C to induce the natural cell death of the fat cell.
How long does a treatment take?
The cold treatment with qmd® lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on the body zone and body mass index.
How many treatments are required?
Studies show that the majority of customers are already satisfied with the results of the first treatment. However, it is recommended to repeat the treatment at least once and ideally perform up to 6 treatments.
What happens to the fat cells?
Fat cells are much more sensitive to cold than other types of connective tissue, such as muscles or tendons. After the death of the fat cells has been initiated, it takes a few weeks to naturally expel them via the lymphatic system.
When will the final result be visible?
The final result of the fat reduction process through cold is usually visible 10 to 12 weeks after the start of the first session.
Are there any risks or side effects?
The innovative cold treatments from qmd® are less aggressive than traditional fat reduction procedures, making them safe and causing no unpleasant red marks or hematomas.
For whom is this type of treatment suitable?
Fat reduction through cold is particularly suitable for people with moderate local fat deposits. The most common areas are the
abdomen, glutes, hips & thighs and legs.
